Vacancies - August 2023
We have need of a highly experienced transcriptionist with at least 20 years’ experience (or even better, 30 or 40 years!). Good references will be required (but they need not be too recent, for example, if you have had time off work for childcare or parent care or whatever). If your CV and references are good, there won’t be any need for a typing test. I will simply throw you in at the deep end to see if you can swim!
This position is mainly for “as and when” there is demand: principally “out of hours” from, say, 6pm onwards on weekday nights and possibly a little weekend working as well, if you are agreeable but this is entirely flexible. You can work whenever you want, to suit you. If you would prefer to work during the day, that too could be accommodated.
However, in line with other transcription providers, there can be no guarantee of being offered regular work – it is very much a feast or famine industry. Therefore, there may well be long periods without work.
You must have a fast typing speed (min. 75wpm) and a broad secretarial background otherwise you will not be able to cope!
Specifically, you must be experienced in and competent enough to deal with interview transcription – these are not a permanent feature but there are spells when you will be expected to take your turn at this work, as the need arises.
To apply, please use our Contact Form on this website as the first step, and we will reply in due course, thank you.
